This was a portrait project I shot that focused on members of the Kent State Fencing club. In preparation, I studied examples of other fencing photos and mapped out the lighting via hand-drawn diagrams. Next up was a round of practice shots with my lighting setup to see if there were adjustments to be made, and to test all of my desired poses. The final results were captured all in one official shoot day with minimal editing afterwards. I felt that these pictures were appropriate for the subject matter and were a proper series by use of lighting.
These are pictures that I loved, but ultimately were not chosen for my final images.
