I was fortunate to be able to photograph the April 2024 total solar eclipse. This involved researching the best camera settings, buying a filter and testing it beforehand, and carefully working with my tripod and camera remote to ensure my pictures were clear and didn't have any blur. I took hundreds of pictures, with the above pictures being my best.
These are my personal favorites.
Photographing the eclipse involved a lot of preparation, which included making my own filter. I bought a giant UV filter sheet, and used an old cardboard box to house the filter. I measured my lens to ensure a proper fit, and was able to photograph everything perfectly.
